Following Christ doesn’t have to be routine. The reality is that God has unleashed an uncivilized family into the world. As these barbarians act quickly, love deeply and live radically, they show how the message of Christ is an unfiltered, unsanitized, unsafe call to an uncivilized way of life. Not everyone in the Bible got this message, but some did. As we look at their stories, we’ll see how we too can become uncivilized in our pursuit of God.
