Nobody wants brokenness, yet most of us experience it. What are we supposed to do when life crashes down around us? Why does God allow his people to go through seasons of such pain and misery? Could God have a purpose for these times of trial and confusion in our lives? Job would say yes to these questions, and then go one step further and tell us to praise God through the pain. If there is any character in the Bible who knew brokenness, it was Job. But the greatest blessing in his life came in the midst of his suffering. His faith was stretched to limits many of us will probably never experience. But Job learned that in brokenness, we see God.
