camp distinctives
1. A message-centric week of camp: Rarely will a camp offer a teaching perspective that is message-centric in its delivery. With three speakers teaching at Wayfarer Camp, the message can be delivered in intentionally throughout the entire camp schedule instead of only during large-group sessions.
2. 3 speakers vs. 1: Also, with our three diverse speakers, the delivery style of the message is changed up each day, ensuring that a wide-range of students can hear the message at some point in the camp week in a manner that best suits them. This will help to avoid a student feeling a disconnect each night because he or she doesn’t resonate with a speaker’s style. In addtion, all three of these speakers who will take the platform at Wayfarer Camp also do so for many other recognized organizations, and so it will be a blessing to hear from all three speakers in one week.
3. Teaching teachers: One of Wayfarer’s passions is to teach teachers through the curriculum and resources we write and produce. We will bring this same attribute to the camp environment. In addition, we have on staff more qualified writers and teachers who will be in a position to facilitate discussions with your adult chaperones/family group leaders as they prepare to minister to their students. We believe that these adult leader times will be beneficial not just for sessions at camp but for leadership back at home as well.
